The Quality Assurance Analyst is reponsible for translating requirements for workers’ compensation and bill review software into test cases and executing them to ensure that all aspects of the test objectives are met and that the requested solution works as expected. The analyst needs to ensure that every phase and feature of the software solution is tested and that any potential issue is identified and fixed before the product goes live.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Work in a cross functional team on the testing of client server and web based applications
- Analyze, gather and clarify requirements
- Develop and perform testcases for functional/regression/performance testing
- Accurately record test results and maintain test documentations
- Participate in bug scrubs, requirement reviews, and assist in post implementation efforts to improve applications, systems, and processes
- Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision
Requirements
- 2+ years of QA testing experience (in lieu of QA background, 3+ years experience in medical bill review, particularly workers’ compensation)
- Experience developing, writing, and executing detailed test cases/test plans
- SQL knowledge preferred
- Experience with Linux/Unix based application servers
- Experience using issue tracking software
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Organizational and time management skills
- Experience in the medical bill review industry preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred
